Nostalgia

The room is empty, cold and bare,

The silence feels so heavy as if in the air.

No voices left, no steps and no sound,

Just shadows stretching all over me around.

Each object speak of what has gone,

Of the faces lost and of the days withdrawn.

Their quiet whispers pierce through my mind,

Of all I had has now left me behind.

I talk to the walls and they do not hear,

My words dissolve and yet they linger near.

The spark is gone and the night is long,

I wonder where it went all so wrong.

I ask the dark and it will not say,

It only tries to take the light away.

And leaves me here with empty skies,

Where every living memory in me slowly dies.

What if not?

If not, then why the birth?

If not, then what’s the worth?

If not, then why the pain?

If not, then what’s here to gain?

If not, then who is it that defines?

If not, then where are all the signs?

If not, then the whole truth is lost,

If not, then what is the actual cost?

If not, then where’s the soul?

If not, then who makes it whole?

If not, then why do dreams decay?

If not, then who is gonna literally stay?

If not, then love is just a flame,

If not, then everything’s the same.

If not, then why do shadows speak?

If not, then what is it that we eternally seek?

In my shoes

I have tried to blend in and play the part,

But I have always walked with a broken heart.

They see a smile and they see me stand,

Yet no one dares to hold my hand.

I know too much and I feel too strong,

And somehow I don’t truly yet belong.

I wear a mask and they believe the show,

But inside I am broken and I guess they will never know.

These shoes I wear are torn and unkind,

They bruise my soul and they cage my mind.

I stumble on and though no one knows,

How heavy are the steps that I chose.

Too sensitive, too lonely, and too sore,

I can’t pretend to fit no more.

So let me walk with my naked feet,

On the roads where silence feels complete.

For freedom sings where pain has been,

And every scar that I endure shall guide me in.

I see me in you

A smile that hides the pain inside,

A gentle face where tears still hide,

A quiet fight you never show,

A search for something you are yet to know.

I see the strength you never claim,

The silent loss without a name,

The way you walk through all the pain,

And still find beauty in the rain.

You carry dreams you barely speak,

And hide the cracks that makes you weak,

Yet in your eyes there shines a truth,

A quiet fire and a stubborn youth.

And maybe that is what draws me near,

The way you hold both hope and fear,

For every scar and every bruise,

Reminds me of the paths that I choose.

You are not trying to break through,

Yet every time I look at you,

Through all you are and all you do,

I see me in you.

Antraal

Haara hua nhi,

Ruk gaya hu,

Chale jaana hai.

Rutha hua nhi,

Chup ho gaya hu,

Khamosh ho jaana hai.

Kal hua nhi,

Aaj ho gaya hu,

Isi me tham jaana hai.

Din hua nhi,

Andhera ho gaya hu,

Usi me kho jaana hai.

Likha hua nhi,

Ankaha ho gaya hu,

Samajh ke pare jaana hai.
